Surf's Up!

We had an awesome day of nice weather and I took advantage of it! I went surfing with some co-workers! Actually it was more boogie-boarding since I wanted to be sure I felt somewhat comfortable out on the water. There is a beach called Pasagshack that has awesome "Hawaii-California-like" waves that are perfect for surfing! I know it sounds cold, but you wear a drysuit, booties, gloves and you are good to go! I wasn't cold at all and actually got hot if I wasn't in the water. I only wiped out a few times and didn't end up drinking the whole ocean which was good. It was an awesome time and I am so excited to get my own suit and make my own board. One of the counselors here makes boards and will let me design and make my own board this winter! Next time I got out, I am trying the paddle-boards which are surf boards that you stand up on. Jonathan is going out with me next time hopefully so I will have more pics then! Enjoy!
