Wow, I can't beleive that August is already almost halfway over! This summer has flown by in a good way! Jonathan and I have been exploring Kodiak and been fishing and surfing! Jonathan went boogieboarding for the first time and had a blast!

We have had our first set of visitors! First my mom came up for a week. It was awesome to show her our town and have her meet some co-workers and friends. We went surfing and boogieboarding, hiking, and fishing! Jonathan's friend John also came up to visit for a week. Jonathan and John went hiking and saw a bear! They also went fishing and caught a ton of salmon! It is awesome to have company and be able to visit with friends and family. If you come up to visit we will take you out fishing and show you around!

I start work on Monday. It is bittersweet knowing that summer is over but I am really ready to start my job. I had about 2 weeks of work before school ended in May so it will be nice to start up with the teachers and students again.

This summer I have started helping with an addictions group on Mondays and Fridays. It actually has been awesome to be a part of and has helped me get more experience in leading groups, especially adult groups.

Jonathan's job is going well also. He has been doing alot and is gearing up for the academy in January. He is still working out everyday so he can chase the bad guys and outrun the bears!

Some recent pictures of our visits and adventures:

We saw the Cornelia Marie (ship from the tv show Deadliest Catch) docked in the harbor and got to get up close and take some pics!

Visit with Stuker

In this pic, they wrapped up the fish they caught in rain jackets I had in the back of my car. I couldn't be too mad because they caught a ton of fish!

The boys eating freshly caught salmon! Yummy!
